Outfits for Arizona

Doesn’t it sound like an organization – nope, its just me sewing for the girls!!! This is what I did the last week (a few were two weeks ago though)

Since I was making flower girl dresses for the girls for Jessy’s wedding, I decided to do Easter outfits.  That way they get something new, appropriate for Arizona (and they can wear it up here too), and something they will wear again!  Oh, and I used their old jeans and leftover material I had from other projects – so you can’t beat FREE  ;)

Maddie – she was not happy! She wanted Mommy to hold her.  Oh, and the best thing about her pants – they double as a diaper cover!

 

And the flower girl dresses – picture a red sash tied around their waists.  The material was ordered with other wedding stuff to make sure it matched and I will make quick sashes to tie in a bow around when I get there.

And – BAD MOM! – I forgot to post pictures of Maddie’s birthday. As you can see, I have been EXTREMELY busy this last week.  Daddy had to work, so we just did cake and presents with little bits.  I didn’t even get a pic of her presents, just the cake.  Her look here is – what are they doing to me! LOL!

What we’ve been up to…

Well, right now we’re fighting a 24 hour bug – 4 down… two to go!  But this last week I’ve been sewing and trying to knock out most of my to-do list  before we leave on vacation April 1st! Still have 3 more dresses to make, hopefully they get done this week!

For Sierra’s quilt project, we are now on to the tying and quilting part– we decided to quilt hearts in the gingham square and tie the rest. I did one square, and she’s doing the rest!

 

And I bought these cute diaper covers for Maddie from a WAHM on a cloth diaper board. I will definitely be making some more of the pants as she can use them as a diaper cover and pants!

And here is my first diaper I made for Maddie – so addicted and they are easy to make!!!!  I used Amy Butler Love flannel – so soft and cuddly!!!

only 3 more to go!!  Here is Karis.  I still need to get the red or orange sashes to tie around the waist, and I bought silk sunflowers to make hairbows for them to wear in their hair.
