My Little Monkey

Karis Marie is such a little monkey! She climbs on EVERYTHING! And I do mean everything! Here are a few pictures of her exceptional climbing skills. :eye roll:

Climbing in the baby doll stroller
Look, on the climbing up on the chair - which is moved away from the table

Because when the chairs are by the table
Look what she does!

Oh, and lets not forget the bookshelf. We've had to move the little chair by it

She wants to play on the computer too!

From the other side, she likes to climb up on the desk too!

Oh, and she climbs on our couch when I'm on the computer and jumps from the back of the couch to me!!!! She is the cause of my gray hair!

Another Weekend Almost Over :(

Not much new happened this week. I figured I would post a picture of me and Dustin as all you ever see is the kiddos. This was taken a few weeks ago, I got my hair cut too, even though you can't see it in the picture. Dustin said he really liked it - I "didn't look like frump girl anymore" AGGHH! MEN!! I told him next time he should just stop at the "I really like it" LOL!
We went to WIC and the Pediatrician this week since I had off. Sierra weighs 36.9 pounds and is 40.75 inches tall. Ruby weighs 36.1 pounds and is 36.5 inches tall. And Karis weighs 19.5 pounds and is 29 inches tall. And they all got their shots on Friday - which was an ordeal with Sierra of course, but she should be good until she's 12 now! And Karis has to go back with Daddy next week to get her blood drawn. They tried to do it Friday but couldn't get it and after a lot of poking and prodding in both arms, I said I would bring her back in for another try next week.

Well, off to clean my house. I have a DC kid coming tomorrow at 5:15! Why did I say yes! At least its only for 9 days... just 9 days - I hope I can do it.

Fun Weekend!

So the girls and I had either food poisoning or a 24 hour bug this weekend. Not fun! We went to check on Sierra Friday night and she was sitting on her bed in a pile of... YUCK! I have no clue how long she had been sitting there. She was staring at the wall with a blank stare on her face. So I picked her up, getting it all over me, and we got in the bath together. Then she spit up a little twice more before we put her back in her bed.

Ruby woke up Saturday morning and came into our room and said "I have throw up in my hair" Sure enough, Dustin checked and she had it all over. I wasn't feeling good at all! So I stayed in bed most all day Saturday. I had to go to the bank and BX, but I was back in bed by 2pm and didn't get back up until about 7 or 8pm. Dustin took care of the girls (who were both fine by now) while I slept. And Karis threw up once, right after she nursed. And no it wasn't 'spit up' it was everything she had just ate. Can you transfer a bug through breastfeeding? I'm not sure, all I know is I nursed her and she threw up about 15 minutes later.

So I am just now getting over it today. Thankfully I don't have to work this week! No daycare kids so I made a bunch of doctor's appts.

Oh, and last night I took Sierra and Ruby to see Harry Potter. They had fun. Ruby just liked to eat popcorn and candy, and watched a bit, but it didn't end until 9:30 and she was tired the last 30 min and just layed on my lap. Sierra liked the movie and asked why everyone always tries to kill Harry Potter? LOL! So now I really want to read the last book (even though I haven't read the first 6!) They don't have the first ones at the library and I don't want to read them out of order, so I guess I'll just have to wait.

We've also heard that Transformers is really good, so we may take the girls to see that next weekend. But I think Dustin will be going with me this time. The girls were really good, but I guess if I want to actually SEE the movie, without going potty, getting more popcorn, cleaning up spills, having kids rotate sitting on my lap, and a 4 year old asking a question about the movie every 10 minutes I need to go by myself. LOL!

Happy Birthday Karis Marie!

Miss Karis Marie turned One Year Old today!!! My baby is one and *almost* walking! Here are pictures of her taking a few steps last night. She can take about 3 to 4 steps before she falls on her bottom. But she is getting good at getting back up. I don't want my baby to walk!!! But Dustin and I were clapping and saying Yay! everytime she stood up to walk a few steps. So now, when she stands up, if we don't clap, she lets us know by clapping and saying Yay! Hehehe

So we woke up this morning and Karis got to open her presents. She got a pop-up toy from Sierra and Ruby. A Pooh-bear ride-on toy from Mommy and Daddy. And a baby doll from Grandma Patty and Papa Donn. She loves all her toys, and knows that they are hers!!! She will let Sierra or Ruby know if they are playing with one of her toys. Here she is getting ready to play with her pop up toy.
And opening gifts

My favorite baby doll! She giggles like me!

Another present

OOH! A pop-up toy!

Care Bear Cake! We put the cake in front of Karis expecting her to dig in. She went to grab it, got just to the edge of the icing, and then took her hands away. She didn't want to get all messy. She wouldn't even eat the cake with her hands, Mommy had to feed it to her. And when I took a break to get a bite of my own cake, she promptly handed me her fork! :D

Watch Out, they all have wheels now!

Haircuts

So Sierra has been asking to get a haircut at 'the place upstairs' on Vogelweh. Its the beauty shop that I go to - lol! I usually cut the girls hair once a year, in the summertime, but Sierra really wanted to go to the beauty shop so today I took her. She said she wanted a lot cut off and short hair. So I told the lady to give her a bob. Well, afterwards, Sierra told every single person that we saw today that she had bob hair. Hehehe!

Ruby watched Sierra get her hair cut, and then didn't really want to get hers done. The lady put her on the chair, and Ruby kind of looked like she was gonna wail. I asked her if she wanted a lot cut off like Sierra or just a little. She said just a little bit, so the lady just gave her a trim. Daddy wanted her hair short too, but Ruby really didn't want a haircut. So here are pics of Sierra.

Luisenpark Mannheim

We visited the LuisenPark in Mannheim on Saturday. It was gorgeous! Its basically a botanical garden but they have lots of playgrounds, a pond and 'Gondoletta' rides. A butterfly house- which was closed when we got there :-( and lots of places for cafes and picnics.

Here is a bee getting a treat... Sierra was scared that Mommy was going to get stung while I was taking this picture... hehehe

We took a ride on the Gondolettas. There were signs everywhere saying not to feed the animals, but apparently no body listens... because this is what the fish did when our boat came by (the boats are on a track around the pond)

Happy 4th of July!!!

Its crazy weather here! Its been raining for WEEKS! so we weren't sure if we would be able to see fireworks. It rained in the morning yesterday, but stayed clear for the Firework Show last night. But it was so very cold! 57 degrees! We had jackets and blankets on... it did NOT feel like JULY!!! The girls were major excited for the fireworks. We didn't get home and in bed until about 12:30-1am. The fireworks didn't even start until 10:30 when it FINALLY gets dark here.

It was a fun time though. The girls got to see some ponies (but they had closed the pony rides right before we showed up) and jump in a bouncy castle and bouncy maze. We just sat in our chairs and ate popcorn, cotton candy, and roasted almonds and peanuts while the girls played with a little girl whose family was sitting next to us. Karis saw about 30 seconds of the fireworks, fussed like she was scared and nursed under the blanket and konked out right after they started. Everybody had a fun time, and the girls looked so funny when we got home. Konked out in their seats with mouths wide open and about to drool! LOL! And I forgot to get a pic!

Sitting in the stroller with their Tinkerbell lights getting ready for fireworks to start

Sierra took this picture of Daddy, Mommy and Karis

Just Checking In

Everything is going fairly well. It has been raining non-stop for about two weeks but I'm not complaining. Because of the rain, the weather is in the 60s for highs and 40s for lows. Not too shabby for almost July... eat your heart out Phoenicians!!! Did I mention I hate Phoenix! LOL! Of course this is weird weather, but we don't have AC or an Evap. Cooler. Just fans and we live on the third floor (heat rises) so its always hot in my house.

The girls are doing good. Karis will be one in two weeks! This last year went by so quickly and she is such a little mischief maker! Wonder where she gets that from? LOL! She's standing on her own and walking while pushing things such as chairs and ride-on toys. So she should be walking soon! I don't know if I'm ready for her to be walking! She already gets into enough stuff!

Ruby is a little brat, as usual, she's 2, what do you expect? She's been getting mouthy lately and has an attitude that I do not like. I keep telling myself that Sierra did the same thing and I just need to get through this stage without killing her! She's a cutie though... that's her saving grace.

Sierra is just way too smart for her own good. She remembers EVERYTHING! So make sure you don't tell her on Monday that we will go to a movie on Friday, because she will remind you!!! And she's into puzzles lately. Ever since a friend from the Netherlands visited and her children brought puzzles. And we've gotten her some hard ones for like 7 year olds and she is still doing them real quick. At least she enjoys doing them over and over... and over and over again! Oh and she is becoming quite the little photographer! She loves to use Mommy's camera to take pictures of her sister and Mommy and Daddy. She actually took this picture of us when we went outside for the few hours of sun on Monday.

Dustin and I are doing good. His job just got switched to a different squadron and he is on a normal schedule. No more nights, weekends, or weird shifts!! Oh, and he will get all Holiday's and Base down days off! I don't know what I'm going to do, I'm not used to him being home. LOL! He might get on my nerves! But he's enjoying being the 'supervisor' at work since he added that extra stripe to his arm! HAHA! I'm still doing full time daycare and have about 6 kids during the day (it fluctuates and the kids rotate, but most days I'm at 6 kidlets running around). I just keep telling myself that we are trying to get out of debt... If I can just stick it out another year and we will be good!

Okay, your turn! What's new with you?

Day Trip to Speyer

Over Memorial Day weekend we took a day trip to Speyer to see Sealife Europe. It was only an hour away and we were excited to go to what we thought was similar to a SeaWorld. Well, its just an aquarium, but it was still pretty neat. Afterwards, we walked around the city a bit and saw what we thought was a Castle. But as we got closer and up to the front, it was a Church. Sierra said maybe it was a Castle-Church and Ruby said maybe Baby Jesus and Cinderella are inside. LOL! Every church we've seen lately the girls have called it a Castle-Church and we have to stop and go see the church. :D
