Happy Halloween!

So we had a Ballerina Witch, a Pink Kitty Meow Meow, and Tinkerbell! The girls were exited to go Trick or Treating. I had to tell them all day long, when Daddy gets home, AFTER DINNER, we will go. Of course, the second Dustin walked in the door they started squealing and asking if it was time to go Trick or Treating yet! LOL!

Checking out the goods!

Daddy's checking the candy (and planning on what he's going to steal after the girls are in bed)

Karis was such a stinker! She refused to let go of her bucket and had to have a sucker in her hand while we went around. We had to PRY! the bucket from her hand when we got home. And then she realized the girls were dumping out their buckets for Daddy to 'check' them and she dumped hers out too! Such a character!
And this is what the girls are going to do after all the candy they ate tonight!

Pumpkins!

So last weekend we went to the pumpkin patch and the girls each picked out a pumpkin. Sierra got the biggest one, Ruby picked out a medium one, and Mommy chose a baby one for Karis. I'm a bad Mommy and forgot to bring my camera for the pumpkin picking though!

Tonight the girls wanted to carve and paint their pumpkins. Sierra was the only one who wanted to carve her pumpkin, and she was really interested in the pumpkin seeds. So we let her pick all the seeds out and Mommy cooked them up while Daddy finished carving the face. Then we got the paint out and let the girls paint them. Enjoy the pics

Karis was so funny. When I first gave her the cup of paint with the paintbrush sticking out she put it in her mouth to drink it like a straw! LOL! I showed her it was a brush so she grabbed it... and held on to it. I brushed it on the pumpkin and it put blue on her pumpkin. AHA! She grabbed the paintbrush from me and had a ball paining her pumpkin!

Ruby didn't want to carve a face in her pumpkin. She thought Sierra's looked cool, but wasn't interested, she just wanted to paint them.

Sierra liked that we carved her pumpkin and we put a candle in it and turned out the lights and she thought it was 'awesome' that it glowed! Hopefully since its cooler here her pumpkin won't wilt before Halloween. We told her that after Halloween though she has to throw her pumpkin out. So we will see how much of a fit she throws.

Afterwards, the girls were pretty painted up, so we gave them baths. After the bath they got to eat the pumpkin seeds. Sierra said she didn't like them, Ruby tasted them but didn't want anymore, and Karis was grabbing them by the handful and shoving them in her mouth! LOL! So I guess she likes them. :D

Update

I am no longer a daycare provider as of Friday night. Dustin and I aren't really too upset, this will give us more time to focus on our family. Oh, and more time to scrapbook :D Thanks for all your prayers and support!

STILL Potty Training!

Yep, that's Ruby... IN APRIL 2006!!! And look, here it is SEPTEMBER 2007 and she is still not potty trained! She likes to sit on the potty, will pee-pee occasionally and if we catch her in the process of going poo-poo we sit her on the potty to finish. But she will not tell us that she has to go (unless its 10:30pm at night and she wants an excuse to get out of bed :eyeroll: ) We've tried threatening, bribing, singing and dancing, giving candy, buying ice cream... EV-VRY-THING!!!

She just doesn't care. So I have come to terms with it. Hey, if I wait a little while longer, I'll probably be able to potty train Karis and Ruby at the same time - lol!

Ruby Ruby Ruby!

Miss Rubriana is 3! We ended up going over to Kid Zone on Friday with some friends for a pizza and cake. Ruby wanted a Snow White cake, so here she is. Sierra said that the cake was very beautiful, but would be even more pretty with a necklace. So I put a necklace on her. LOL!

Ruby can't do the regular "I'm Three" fingers, so we taught her the German way. Hehehe.
Opening up gifts

The girls eating pizza and chicken. And Ruby is checking to make sure her cake is still okay on the other table.

Baby Barbies - her favorite!

A princess cake for my Princess!

MMMM... Sissy's cake is Good!

Neunkirchen Zoo

A few weekends back we went to the Zoo at Neunkirchen. Zoos in Germany are more open and you can get up real close to the animals. The one right down the road in Kaiserslautern is scary! The lions and tiger are within reach, and one day they were not happy and looked like they wanted to eat Sierra! LOL! But we normally go to the one in Neunkirchen because its bigger and has more animals at it (real animals, not farm animals hehehe). Enjoy the pics!

Girls!

GIRLS! Do do do do do doo-do
All I really want is GIRLS!
Do do do do do doo-do
In the morning its GIRLS!
Do do do do do doo-do
And in the evening its GIRLS!

So the girls are still growing and getting into EV-RY-THING! Karis Marie thinks she is 1 going on 4! When we go to the park, she climbs up the stairs, through a tube and goes down the slide (on her tummy). She does this over and over and over, and if you try to help her, she tells you "NA NA NA NA NA NA NA!" Such an attitude! She's also into taking her pants off every day. So most days she just runs (yes RUNS!) around in a onesie or t-shirt and her diaper.

The girls in their swim suits. We went to the indoor pool a few weeks back. The girls had a blast in the kiddie area. Karis didn't care if the water was up to her chest, she was walking around and wanted to go down the water slide. Even if she did go under at the end, she just stood right back up. Daddy took Sierra and Ruby into the big pool one at a time to get them to float on their back (with him holding them) and they both flipped out and didn't trust that he wouldn't let go.

Ruby will definitely not be a social butterfly. Most days she is totally content with just playing in her room or in a corner all by herself. She loves the little mini barbies (think Barbie's little sister) and will gather all of those up to play. And she is still a cuddlebug :D
The girls love their princess dresses. The other day the ice cream man came by while they were dressed up so we went down to get a scoop of ice cream. He was honored to be serving royalty! And called them Bella (he's Italian) when he gave them their ice cream. Of course, then Mommy had to handwash the ice cream out of the dresses later that night.

Sierra and Karis. They are like two peas in a pod. Karis loves her big sis! She loves Ruby too, but she has more fun terrorizing Ruby and does it every chance she gets.

What a Koolaid Kisser. Sierra is getting taller every day! A friend of mine sent some hand-me-down clothes, and I thought, oh, these are too long, they won't fit Sierra. Nope, the fit her to a tee! And she tells everybody that Ms. Julia sent her new clothes. Mostly because they question why she's wearing jeans and long sleeve shirts and sweaters in August. LOL! Its because they're new!
Crazy girls! Ruby and Sierra like to play together. But they get involved in something, and Karis will come over to 'help out' so they've taken to either going in their room or in the bathroom so they can shut the door so Karis can't get in. Then Karis bangs on the door yelling "NA NA NA NA NA NA" LOL! Its really funny, it looks like she's telling them off.

Not much else is new over here. The girls certainly keep us busy. I have a bunch of cute pics from the Zoo in Neunkirchen, so I will post those later. Gotta go make lunch and get ready for Happy Hour ;-) (that would be nap time)!
