Sierra's Monkey Party

Sierra had her Monkey Birthday Party today! Had a pretty fun time, and although I felt kinda cheap making everything for her party - I think it turned out pretty good.  Its hard to find stuff for Monkey's - its all cartoon characters and TV shows.  I found some stuff online, but shipping to AK is OUTRAGEOUS - and even looking 3 weeks ago, the delivery date was the day of the party! But I think we did okay! Enjoy the pics!

Of course she had to have a Monkey cake!! She wanted a brownie cake (which is already rich enough, so I didn't really frost it. And Banana ice cream.  Which I made by taking vanilla ice cream and mixing in cut up bananas!  Hey, its what they do at ColdStone Creamery! LOL!

Here is the 'Pin the Tail on the Monkey' poster. I printed out a picture from online onto a transparency and put a flashlight behind it and traced onto poster board.

She wanted to do a craft at her party, so I choose something easy.  Prepainted door hangers and Monkey's and they put their names on them with foam stickers.

And the goodie bags - see - my scrappy supplies are good for something!

The Decorated Room.  We used green streamers like 'vines' and then drew banana bunches on yellow balloons :D

And eating pizza, opening presents, and blowing out candles on the cake:

Not alot of moms left in this old world who take the time to "hand create" a kids birthday party or any party for that matter. You did a bang up job and I think the cake and decorations are creative and fun-tastic. Good work kudos go to a good mommy. This is one she'll remember for a long time - you're making memories kiddo. Love you and hope you are feeling okay - Aunt Phyllis
