Truck is sold (hopefully it doesn’t fall through on Tues!), appointments made for wills, massage/pedicure (it was a MOTHER’S DAY gift that I have to cash in before Dustin leaves), bought a treadmill so I can exercise when the kids are in bed, and we are getting family pictures before Dustin leaves too.
Lesson planning as I got two huge boxes of homeschool stuff on Saturday. SHEESH!! We will be starting in a few weeks!!!
Working with Ruby and reading – she can read some words already and we ‘read’ a book the other day. Cat, Rat, Cat ran, Rat ran, Rat sat on Cat, etc.
Going through the spelling lessons that Sierra will be doing. This is her first year having spelling tests. I was just explaining what we will be doing. So I told her we’ll be having tests like, spell in, now pin, now spin, now fin… she got them all right. Well, of course then she said – duh mom this is easy!!! I don’t need spelling tests. So I said, it starts off easy, but try to spell believe! She looked at me and said B-E… LIE…… V… E – is that right? UM, okay, so maybe you DON’T need spelling tests! LOL! Too bad – she’s getting them anyway!
Going through curriculum upon curriculum!!! Need to order a few more things and then I think we’re good until the spring!
BUSY BUSY BUSY!!! Dustin is off the next two weeks so we’re going to cram EVERYTHING that needs to be done before he leaves in that time frame. And then we are tentatively going to start school on the 24th.

Tell Ruby I'm so proud of her reading! Also very proud of Sierra for spelling believe....but not too surprised. Do you need anything that I could get the girls for "back to school"? lots of love...Grandma Patty
WTG on selling the truck! That's awesome and one less worry!
This month is FLYING by. I am NOT ready for school to start. I had plans to have it all laid out, but appointments and life in general are bogging me down. I need to get the boy's transcripts done. I need to sort out resources for the first chapter we will be working on (map skills). ACK!!!!
I have a million appointments in the coming weeks...Emily at a German allergist, Seth for Pediatric Behavioral Health for his Aspie, Tyler and Courtney for orthodontics. UGH.
Wish we were still close so we could support one another. I'd come help Sierra take her spelling tests...LOL
